Now in its third year, Baston in the Blitz 2016, taking place this weekend (August 6 and 7) is promised to be bigger and better than ever before.
Every aspect of the event has grown, including more vintage traders, more re-enactors and many more Second World War Two living history displays.
An exciting new feature at this year’s event will be the live firepower demonstrations and battle re-enactments to be held on both days in the display arena.
Visitors will also be able to experience the mighty roar of a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, as fitted to the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster during World War Two, being run up to full throttle.
This year’s static aircraft displays will include a Hawker Hurricane and a Messerschmitt Bf109.
The event will be open both Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 5pm. Entry is £6 adults, £4 senior citizens and free for children aged under 16.
