Air ambulance called to crash near Tilton on the Hill

A man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after being cut from his vehicle by firefighters following a crash near Tilton on the Hill this morning (Friday).

Fire services were called to the road accident on Oakham Road in Halstead at about 8.15am this morning.

Three fire crews, police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the incident.

At about 9am fire services reported the man had been freed from the car and was on his way to University Hospital Coventry.

Crews remained to make the scene safe.

Fire services have not released his condition.
