Cyclist airlifted to hospital after colliding with car at Rutland Water

A cyclist had to be airlifted to hospital after crashing into the rear window of a parked car at Rutland Water.

The 28-year-old woman suffered head and facial injuries in the incident, which happened at about 4.30pm on Sunday.

Initial reports also suggested that she was suffering from a reduced level of consciousness.

Emergency services were called to the scene and she was flown to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for treatment for her injuries.
