Man airlifted to hospital after serious crash on the A47

A man was airlifted to hospital after a car crash.

Two cars collided on the A47 between Morcott and Uppingham at about 2.45pm yesterday (Wednesday).

The driver of one car, a man, was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry. The driver of the other was taken by road ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

The A47 was closed between Uppingham and Morcott until 7.30pm.
