A petrol station which was closed for over a week after a lorry crashed into it has reopened.

Morcott Service Station began serving customers again on Saturday.

The site was shut down on February 14 after a lorry came off the A47 in high winds and crashed into one of the pumps. The driver, who was trapped inside his cab after the crash, escaped unhurt.

Contractors spend last week dismantling the forecourt canopy so the TM Logistics lorry could be removed. A spokesman for Motor Fuel Ltd, which owns the site, said the company hoped to rebuild the canopy as soon as possible.
