A combination of roadworks is causing delays to traffic in Stamford.

Lincolnshire County Council is carrying out resurfacing work in Wharf Road and St Leonard’s Street, from the junction of St Leonard’s Street and Brazenose Lane to Holly Lodge.

The road will be closed from today (Tuesday) until Thursday.

Anglian Water is carrying out work to repair a burst water main in Brownlow Terrace. Two-way traffic lights are in place. The work began on Thursday and is due to finish today.

And Western Power Distribution is working in St Paul’s Street. The work began on Thursday and is set to finish on Friday.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
