YOUNG unemployed people are being urged to make the most of a club designed to help them get back into work.

Outreach worker for Trinity Methodist Church in Stamford Luke Denley started the club on Tuesday and was disappointed when no-one turned up.

The church is backing the club as it believes it is a very “worthwhile project” and volunteers were on hand at the session to lend a hand.

The club is open for young people aged between 16 and 20 to get help with writing their CV, filling in application forms and interview techniques.

There is also refreshments and snooker, pool and table tennis, for young people to meet other like-minded people in a similar situation.

The sessions run every Tuesday between 1.30pm and 3pm at the church in Barn Hill.
