A BROTHER and sister are hitting the right notes after achieving high exam results.

James, 21, and Lucy-Rose Graham, 15, of Lindsey Road, Uffington, are celebrating after receiving their exam results.

Oboe player James has just graduated from Goldsmiths College in London.

He gained a first in the performance aspect of his music degree.

He has now been invited to go back to the college and play with its orchestra in November.

His younger sister Lucy-Rose scored 142 points out of a possible 150 in her grade eight Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music exam.

Both youngsters attended Copthill Independent School in Uffington.

James won a scholarship to Stamford School and Lucy-Rose attends Oakham School.

Their mum Judith said: “I am very proud of them.

“They have both worked really hard to get that.

“They were both quite surprised.”
