THE A47 was closed near Bisbrooke this morning following a collision involving a van and a Vauxhall Astra.
A 64-year-old-man was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after being trapped upside down in his vehicle for 50 minutes following the crash at the junction with Baulk Road, Bisbrooke.
He was treated for chest pain and breathing difficulty.
Another person was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Neither had life-threatening injuries.
The road reopened at about 11am.
