Vandals strike at Abbey Lawn in Bourne

VANDALS have damaged various areas of Bourne’s Abbey Lawn used by Bourne Town Football Club

Guttering was torn down from the football club’s stand on Wednesday night and three light bollards, cemented into place, were found to have been knocked over on Saturday morning.

Bourne United Charities, which owns the land, imposed a 10pm curfew to combat problems with vandalism.

But Bourne Town Football Club secretary Robert Lambert said the club has still experienced some problems because vandals have managed to get in.
