A mother had her head shaved in front of her daughter’s school to raise funds for research into cancer treatment.
Bridgette Barfield, 40, of Ryefield, Langtoft, decided to do something to support Cancer Research UK.
Bridgette’s father has been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, while her stepfather has chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Bridgette arranged for hairdresser Caroline Clifton to shave her head in front of some of the pupils at Langtoft Primary School.
She collected sponsorship and donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through chemotherapy or other disorders.
Bridgette has so fair raised more than £1,400.
