A road in Bourne has reopened following a small explosion in Bourne this morning (Friday).
Police were called to Sellwood Terrace, off Manning Road in Bourne, at 8.30am after reports there had been an explosion.
It is believed something in a bin bag, possibly a firework, had caused the explosion.
No-one was injured and no properties were damaged during the incident.
The road was cordoned off while police investigated but reopened about an hour ago after bomb disposal experts from RAF Wittering, who were called as part of routine procedure, declared the area safe.
There was another incident this morning in Hereward Street in Bourne.
