The hard work and dedication of a volunteer at the Rutland branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has been celebrated.

Yvonne Clayton has been awarded the charity’s bronze badge for her services to the branch since joining the committee in
 2000.

Yvonne soon became secretary and then vice chairman.

She then took on the role of chairman when the previous chairman Garth Webster died in 2006. Yvonne has been chairman ever
since.

Yvonne, who lives in Greetham, was presented with the award for her commitment in getting people to take part in fundraising events and her own efforts in generating money.
