A VULCAN bomber has been flying over Stamford this afternoon (Thursday).

The plane, which is based at Robin Hood Airport, Doncaster, used the airspace over RAF Wittering and the Kendrew Barracks at Cottesmore for training.

A spokesman for RAF Wittering said the plane had just undergone an engine service and was required to carry out five practice displays over military bases before being allowed to display in civilian air space.
