YOUNGSTERS enjoyed pirate-themed water activities in aid of charity.
The Water Babies classes, which run at Uppingham School sports centre for babies and toddlers, held a day of fundraising activities in aid of baby charity Tommy’s. So far £2,500 has been raised in Leicestershire and Rutland.
During the morning, the babies swam underwater for the first time and in the toddlers’ class, which is for youngsters aged from 18 months to two years old, they completed a pirate-themed circuit of activities. This included surfing and balancing on a wobble board.
The children in the toddlers class also received goodie bags.
Water Babies instructor Charlie Craven said: “The children had a whale of a time.”
