RUTLAND COUNTY MUSEUM

A Call to Arms - Rutland in the First World War. On display until January 2015. To commemorate the outbreak of the First World War, Rutland County Museum is honouring and remembering the local men that fought and died during the conflict.

The exhibition profiles the individual stories of Rutland soldiers. Includes original artefacts, medals and documents that reveal the story of life on the battle front. One of the highlights is a wonderful collection of letters that were written home by a group of young Rutland men who were away on active service. STAMFORD ARTS CENTRE

Welland Valley Arts Society, autumn exhibition, until tomorrow. The society gathers artists from the surrounding five counties and the exhibition showcases a wide variety of styles and techniques from professionals and amateurs. Most of the exhibits are for sale.
