A THEATRE school has appeared on stage in London’s West End.

A troupe of 50, aged five to 18, from Wildcats Theatre School performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Haymarket, the stage made famous by Phantom of the Opera, as part of the national Showstoppers competition.

The group won its heat in January to get through to the final and although it didn’t win overall, the Wildcats were still delighted to perform on stage in the West End again.

Wildcats director Caz Dolby said the troupe performed a Shrek medley and a medley from the musical Seussical, based on the books of Dr Seuss.

Caz said: “Every child had a smile on their face all day – they shone with confidence and belief in themselves as performers and performed with total commitment and dedication.”

Cast member Chloe Patman, nine, from Baston, said: “It felt amazing to be on the special stage again performing a great medley.”
