PUPILS and parents enjoyed playing games and picking up bargains at a school fete.
Friends of Wittering Primary School organised a fete on Friday last week.
About 280 children and their parents spent an afternoon browsing around the stalls.
RAF Wittering supported the event by bringing along a fire engine, an RAF police car and a bomb disposal tank.
Youngsters from each year group manned stalls, which were selling cakes, books and toys.
Year 6 children also designed and ran games on the day.
The event raised £1,445 for the school.
Mayor of Peterborough, Paula Thacker, opened the fete.
Chairman of the friends, Helen Bishop was delighted with the event’s success.
She said: “We were very pleased.
“It was constantly busy for two hours.”
