A woman was airlifted to hospital after being thrown from a horse while jumping a fence.
The 22-year-old woman was briefly knocked unconscious following the fall, which happened in a field near Somerby at about 4pm on Sunday.
The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance was called out and landed in a field nearby.
Paramedics gave pain relief and anti-sickness medication to the woman. They then immobilised her and flew her to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, for further treatment.
The ambulance service has not confirmed the exact location of the field.
