A woman was taken to hospital after being thrown from her horse.

A team from the Magpas air ambulance service was called to a track in Wittering at about 1.45pm on Saturday. A woman in her 40s had been thrown from her horse and lost consciousness.

The Magpas team assessed the patient, who regained consciousness but suffered head and rib injuries. She was taken to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance. Her current condition is not known.
