Young dancers to take to the stage with the English Youth Ballet

THREE talented young dancers from the area are preparing for the biggest performances of their lives.

Emma Coupland, 15, Kezia Smith, 14, and Angela Wilson, 13, will dance with the English Youth Ballet in three performances of a new adaptation of Swan Lake at the Theatre Royal, Nottingham.

The talented young dancers, who are members of the Welland School of Dancing, were selected from more than 350 young hopefuls at an audition in March.

Bourne Grammar School pupil Emma will be playing the role of a Tall Swan, while Bourne Academy pupil Kezia will be dancing as a Royal Courtier and Uppingham Community College pupil Angela is a Mariinsky Ballet Dancer in the story.

The company will be performing on Friday, July 27, at 7.30pm and Saturday, July 28, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. For tickets, visit www.trch.co.uk
