THESE youngsters went all out to prove they had what it takes in the kitchen during a Junior Masterchef competition.

Chef Thierry Daugeron, who runs Stamford Cookery School in Brownlow Street, Stamford, organised the competition which took place during the Easter break last week.

Of the nine young chefs who took part, three cooked main courses and six cooked desserts.

The overall winner was eight-year-old Elliott Judd, who cooked stuffed chicken breast, wrapped in bacon and breadcrumbs and served in a red wine sauce.

Mr Daugeron said: “For his age, Elliott showed a lot of skill and he has a lot of potential. His dish tasted incredible.

“Overall the competition went very well and it is something we will look to repeat every year.”

The winners received Le Creusset cookery items and a certificate.
