Children have been getting creative this Christmas to create a road sign to mark to Queen’s diamond jubilee.

The youngsters from Branston Road, in Uppingham, have painted a 12 metre long sign for their street to celebrate the landmark year.

Their creation was made possible thanks to a £100 grant from Uppingham Town Council.

Family and friends helped put the mural up at the flats in Branston Road on Wednesday.

The sign is being protected by a plastic film.
