Youngsters from four villages across Rutland gathered to take part in a special sports event.
More than 50 children from Ridlington, Manton, Belton and Wing played a range of sports at Ridlington Playing Field as part of an inter-village sports day yesterday (Sunday).
The event was organised to encourage children to be more active.
The children from Ridlington and Wing took on a team of youngsters from Manton and Belton at football, rounders and in relay races.
A raffle was also held which raised more than £300 for Ridlington Playing Fields in Top Road.
The money will be put towards the upkeep of the playarea and future developments at the site.
Nicole Hickman, who helped organise the event, said: “It was a really successful day.
“All the children enjoyed it and everyone had a great time.
“It was the first time the event has been held and I’m sure we’ll look to hold it again next year.
