The improvements have been made following customer feedback. Store Manager Gail Scarlett said: “We always listen to our customer feedback and to see how we can improve our service to Stamford residents. With our increased food range, we hope it provides our customers with a better choice of great products at affordable prices and we look forward to receiving their feedback on the new range”.
It’s now been over a year since Sainsbury’s Stamford opened. With improvements to their product ranges set to help fulfil a customer’s weekly or monthly shop, the store is now looking to also provide great service to their local community. One of the main partnerships that colleagues have already formed strong links with is Stamford foodbank.
Last year, they were announced as the store’s Local Charity partner for the year. So far, the store regularly provides the charity with food donated by customers. The drop-off service will remain available for customers to choose to make a food donation until May. Monetary support has also been provided thanks to donations from customers and colleagues, with a cheque from £365 presented to the charity at the start of the New Year.
Apart from the foodbank, several charities and groups have also benefitted with donations during the last few months, with several prizes donated to support local charity Christmas parties during December.
With the improved product range set to launch on 2nd February and with the store’s colleagues set to ‘Do Something Funny for Money’ for Red Nose Day on Friday 15th March, It all adds up to an exciting time for the 130 colleagues who work at the store. Gail added: “Many of my team here are from Stamford and with our exciting new product range; we’re really now looking to taking our service to our customers and community to the next level”.
