STAMFORD High Scool's Gaby Bangay lead a Lincolnshire Schools Under 15 team to victory in the Anglian Region Combined Events Athletics Championships.
The team saw off much fancied opposition from Essex and Norfolk and recorded a score which makes them one of the favourites to take the national title in Birmingham in September.
Competing in wet and windy conditions the team were always ahead of their rivals and only narrowly missed beating the all-time county record.
Gaby won the overal individual title, just as she had a year earlier, with a score of 2,957, seeing off 19 other competitors.
Team mates Charlotte Taylor (Spalding, 2,549), Ellis Whyler (Boston, 2,724) and Hannah Dunderdale (Grantham 2,864), finished ninth, fifth and third respectively.
