THE Ex were able to unleash their full attacking force and gained revenge for the previous week’s 6-3 defeat to high-flying Queniborough Park Rangers.
The difference in the Ex’s quality took the hosts completely by surprise and some excellent pass
ing football combined with some strong individual performances saw Ross McKie’s side to victory.
The visitors opened the scoring inside the first minute with Richard Dainty on target.
Scott Bryan added the second before missing a penalty, but he cooly slotted home the rebound to make it 3-1 at the break.
The Ex were as dominant at the back as they were going forward and having dealt with a period of Rangers pressure Andy Clarke extended their lead before Scott Bryan completed his hat-trick.
Another Bryan goal followed immediately before Martin Tricuki capped an excellent display with a diving header to complete the rout.
McKie said: “That was probably the best we have ever played taking on a quality team and beating them so comfortably. Now we have set the standard we must perform like that every week if we want to win this league, “
l The reserves battled hard but eventually lost 3-0 to current Melton League champions The Cutting Room.
Chairman Alex Woods said: “They really pushed a good side all the way.”
