BLACKSTONES overcame a tricky FA Vase second round tie at home to Dunkirk with a 2-0 success over their East Midlands Counties visitors on Saturday.
Jon Stead finished off a well-worked Stones move six minutes before the break to give Dave Bird's side a deserved interval lead.

However, Dunkirk were the dominant side in the second period until Adam Scotcher's pacy run was brought to an abrupt halt in the penalty box.

The striker picked himself up to fire home the 78th minute spot kick and ensure Stones' place in the next round.
