BLACKSTONES are in serious relegation trouble after this result at fellow strugglers Rothwell.
Ten days ago Dave Bird's side were looking forward to three extremely winable fixtures against teams also struggling at the wrong end of the table.
But last week's 3-2 home defeat to Sleaford, which saw Stones end a four match goal drought, coupled with this result against a Corinthians' side who had won just once in ten matches going into the fixture, have left the Stamford club in the relegation zone just one point above basement club Bourne Town.
Blackstones host St Neots at Lincoln Road tomorrow (3pm) and it is a must win game if the hosts are to avoid losing more ground on the sides above them. Bird's side have already played more games than several of the clubs around them and have just five points.
St Neots have picked up just seven points from their nine games and have also been struggling for goals.
Bird saw his side concede early and late in the first half on Saturday but still felt his side could have taken something from the game.
Dan Santoro and Steffan Dancy both hit the post while Kev Ainslie had a 'goal' ruled out when Bird felt sure his header was cleared from behind the line.
He said: "I'm running out of both cliches and expletives to describe our games."
Stones: Flavell, Doyle, Jones, Blowers, Ainslie, Boome, Challinor (Bird), Dancy, McRoyal (Stead), Santoro, Thompson.
