STONES landed a plum tie with Scarborough Athletic after Saturday's second round success at Lincoln Road.
Goals from Jon Stead and Adam Scotcher earned Stones a trip to face the Seadogs who are a newly-formed club following the demise of Scarborough FC, who were playing in the Football League several seasons ago.
Manager Dave Bird is now relishing the trip to face the Northern Counties East League Division One table-toppers who regularly attract large attendances with more than 650 watching their second round victory.
Bird said: "I was really chuffed with Saturday's win and if we get something in the next round I'll be even happier.
"Apart from getting a home tie, we couldn't have asked for a better draw and it will be a great occasion for everybody.
"They are flying in their league so there will be no pressure on us and we can just go there and enjoy the day out."
Stones had to overcame potentially tricky visitors on Saturday as Dunkirk are going well in the East Midlands Counties League.
The Nottinghamshire side included one-time Stamford midfielder Nick Hawkins in their ranks and were managed by ex-Daniels man Mark Harbottle.
Stones created the best chances as they dominated the opening period.
Scotcher flashed an early effort into the side-netting while Stead's low shot was clawed away by Darren Wheater-Lowe the Dunkirk goal.
Scotcher sent a volley inches over before Stones got their rewards with a well-worked 39th minute opener.
Mark Jones' cross was laid off by Scotcher for Stead to rifle home a low shot into the bottom corner.
Scotcher came close to doubling Stones' lead as his superb weaving run ended with a shot which brought a fine fingertip save from Wheater-Lowe.
Dunkirk looked a more determined side after the break and pinned Stones back in their own half for long periods without really threatening to score.
Home goalkeeper Ian Flavell made routine saves to deny Adey Bascombe and Ross McCaughey before the custodian blocked a low free-kick with Carl Bird completing the clearance as the ball spun goalwards.
Stones sealed their passage into the next round with 12 minutes remaining when the pacy Scotcher got past Chris McGeown who sent the home forward tumbling in the box.
Scotcher picked himself up to fire home the resultant spot kick and, after Flavell had denied Aaron Brady and Jarrod Westcarr late on, Stones' place in the next round was secure.
Stones: Flavell, Bird, Ainslie, Blowers, R. Jones, Doyle, McRoyal, Dancy, M. Jones (Ruscillo 80), Scotcher, Stead. Subs not used: Sheehan, Davies, Smith, Asher-Powell.
Match sponsor: Phil Mitchell.
Stones return to UCL Premier Division action on Saturday at home to Holbeach before continuing the defence of their Lincs Senior Trophy with an away tie at Winterton Rangers on Wednesday night.
Stones beat the Scunthorpe side 1-0 in last year's semi-final, but boss Bird is far from happy about having to make the 170-mile round trip in midweek.
He said: "We will do the best we can, but it's ridiculous having to go all that way in midweek because players can't always get the time off work.
"Our results have been pretty consistent lately so I don't want to go and lose heavily and knock the stuffing out of us."
