Bourne Town Harrier Tim Wigley running at Kettering

Bourne brothers Cameron and Toby Everist both secured top ten places in the second round of the Lincolnshire Cross Country League.

Running for Bourne Town Harriers at Skegness, the November 4, Toby finished 8th in the U11 boys while Cameron was 3rd in the U15 boys races.

The on Saturday, the Harriers travelled to Wickstead Park, Kettering for round two of the North Mids Cross Country League where Beth Howells was 16th in the U15 girls race.

Karen Clark knocked an impressive four minutes off her first round time to finish 57th in the women’s field.

Joe Howells was 13th in the U17s race, while Scott Taylor ran well to secure 26th in the U15 boys.

For the U13 girls, Megan Ellison was 6th, Molly Bennett 31st, Leah Clark 32nd and Keeley Caven 35th.

Rich Lomas-Brown was 88th in the men’s race, just ahead of Shaun Hill in 90th and Tony Gilbert 93rd with Mark Ellison 102nd, Tim Wigley 103rd, Phil Galpin 105th, Rob Caven 128th and Mick Howells 134th in his cross country debut.

Shaun Hill still leads the men’s series with Vicky Cocking leading the ladies. Martin Clarke leads the boys, while Megan Ellison leads the girls series.

The next round of the club series will be the third North Midlands League Cross Country meeting of the season, at Nottingham on December 1.
