Bourne beat Stamford in Border League meeting

The highest scoring game in the South Lincolnshire and Border League Premier Division saw Bourne 2nd beat Stamford by 31 runs.

David Christmas top-scored on 80 with support from Sam Evison (51no) and Jon Howard (50) as Bourne reached 211-4.

Chris Binns then took 5-45 and Evison picked up 3-52 to bowl out Stamford for 180.

Just one point separates the top two teams in Division One after both recorded victories.

Leaders Spalding 2nd beat Long Sutton 2nd while Billingborough 2nd – who have a game in hand – overcame Woodlands by 75 runs.

Chris Dring top-scored for Spalding 2nd and Jamie Juckes took 3-36.

Long Sutton’s Danny Sisson had a five-wicket haul and Aaron John hit a half-century.

Nathan Garfoot took four wickets for Billingborough 2nd.

Market Deeping 2nd saw off Baston by 60 runs in a low-scoring game.

John Lamin and Tim Dyer picked up three wickets each to dismiss Deeping for 115 with Ryan Bainborough hitting 35.

Only two Baston batsmen reached double figures against Richard Witt (6-9) and Nick Andrews (3-5).
