Bourne Grammar School took gold in the athletics Lincolnshire School Games track and field meeting last week.
Bourne took first place for the Year 7 boys and girls competitions, closely followed by Caistor Grammar School who took silver and King Edwards VI, Louth, who took bronze.
The event, supported by the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership and the School Sports Partnership, included Boccia, Cycling, Goalball, Golf, Rounders, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball as well as athletics.
The countywide festival of sport took place at Lincoln Castle Academy and Yarborough Leisure Centre last Wednesday,and School Games Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, Gareth Short, said: “It was a fantastic day of sporting competition.
“The buzz and excitement around the whole event was amazing and along with visits from Olympian, Bryan Steele and Paralympian, Alistair Heselton, it really was day to celebrate the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics.”
