BOLURNE’s Abbey Lawn was among many grounds unable to host cricket yesterday.
Fixtures in the Lincolnshire Premier League and the South Lincolnshire and Border League were cancelled for the third consecutive weekend including Bourne’s match at Louth and Bourne 2nd XI’s home match against 2011 champions Billingborough.
Scheduled games involving Market Deeping, Stamford and Baston were also called off.
In the only games to beat the weather in the top flight, new boys Haxey beat Sleaford and Skegness beat Grimsby.
The Twenty20 Winkworth Cup is due to start tomorrow with Market Deeping and Bourne travelling to Skegness for the opening round of round robin fixtures.
