OAKHAM held on for a draw but dropped points at lowly Kegworth yesterday.
After a superb turnaround to beat Stoughton and Thurnby 2nd XI at the Lime Kilns a week earlier, Oakham were off the pace against Kegworth Town 2nd XI.
The hosts made 200 for 8 with 77 of their runs coming from David Wall. Oakham's veteran bowler Bob Inchley caused most damage with four for 45.
In reply Oakham managed just 153 for nine to earn seven points in division three of the Everards Leicestershire League. Oakham top a mid-table bunch but are further off the pace of the leading pack.
Oakham play Barwell, who are just two points below them, at home next Saturday.
OAKHAM'S 2nd XI held top-of-the-table Loughborough Town 3rd XI to a draw at home in division seven yesterday.
Oakham made 156-8 but Loughborough held on with two wickets in hand at the end of play, ending on 140-8.
Matt Parnham claimed five wickets for 39 runs.
Oakham, who slipped to fifth on the back of yesterday's result, play fifth-placed Ratby next Saturday.
The draw cost Loughborough top spot, with Hincklay Town 2nd XI moving one point clear at the top of a tight top four, rounded off by Electricty Sports 2nd XI.
