Bourne’s seemingly invincible Twenty20 form spun to a messy end in the second of their three cup finals.

The Winkworth Cup winners, who are also in the final of the Stamford Knock-Out Cup, came a cropper against Wisbech in the Jaidka Cup Final at Peterborough on Wednesday, losing by 32 runs.

Eight of the nine wickets that The Abbey Lawn side lost chasing Wisbech’s 152 for 9, fell to spinners with skipper Pete Morgan, Conrad Louth and Stuart Airey all out within theopening three overs.

In the field, Tom Dixon (2 for 18) and Rob Bentley (3 for 17) fared well for Bourne but otherwise runs were conceded cheaply.
