Army side refuses to buckle to weather

One football match that will go ahead tomorrow is the match between Royal Anglian and Saffron Lounge at Cottesmore’s Kendrew Barracks.

The Army side, who joined the Leicester and District League division one at the start of this season, have had 100 men shovelling snow from the pitch this week.

“We’ll have heaters to prevent the pitch freezing,” said club chairman Ashley Ward.

The Royal Anglian side are currently fourth and, after all their efforts to get the hame on, will expect a home win against the division’s bottom side.
