Blackstones’ joint management team of Darren Jarvis and Michael Goode have left the club to join Peterborough Northern Star.

The city side confirmed the appointment of the duo on Saturday.

Blackstones reserve team manager Gary Peace will act as caretaker until and new manager is appointed.

In a statement the Stamford club said: “The committee would like to extend their thanks for all Michael and Darren’s efforts during their tenure at the club and wish them all the best in their new venture at Peterborough Northern Star, an opportunity which they felt was too good to miss and that it would not remain vacant for long with Peterborough Northern Star’s reputation and vision.”

Stones are also looking for a new chairman after the recent resignation of Kevin Boor. Derek Hall is acting as chairman until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Anybody interested in either the manager’s or chairman’s position should contact club secretary Ian MacGillivray via imacgilli@aol.com.

Blackstones’ match at second-placed St Ives Town was postponed due to a water-logged pitch on Saturday. Stones are due to host Stewarts and Lloyds this weekend with a 3pm kick-off at Lincoln Road.
