Stamford AFC bounced back from their weekend FA Cup disappointment to gain three vital points in their league battle.
The Daniels beat their hosts Rushall Olympic 2-0.
Nathan Haines gave the Daniels the lead from a free-kick on 34th minute.
Then Richard Wesley struck the second in the 59th minute when he slotted home from a fantastic ball from David Moyo.
The win moves Stamford out of the relegation zone in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.
Stamford boss David Staff said: “We looked like we wanted to win it more than they did and that’s a credit to the players who worked very hard.”
Elsewhere Deeping Rangers stayed at the top of the ChromaSport and Trophies Peterborough League Premier Division thanks to a 6-3 thumping of Kempston Rovers.
Home-side Rangers were threatening a double-figure rout after steaming into a 6-0 lead inside 52 minutes, but they took their foot off the gas and allowed three late replies from visitors Kempston.
Josh Moreman scored two in two minutes midway through the first-half to start the thrashing. Mitch Griffiths (2), David Burton-Jones and Matt Heron were also on target for Deeping who lead Spalding by one point, but have played two games more.
