Stamford Daniels midfielder Jon Challinor made a solid start to his Halifax Town career on Saturday.
Challinor, who signed for Halifax from Stamford last week, produced an assured and uncompromising performance in his new side’s 0-0 draw with Wrexham.
Challinor, who started for the Sheymen, told the Halifax Town website: “It was good, playing at the level that I had been meant that I was a little nervous but whenever I am nervous I play better. So it was just great to be out there, especially at this stage in my career to be given the opportunity to play at FC Halifax Town.”
“Whatever happens or comes from it who knows but I am just going to enjoy it.
“I loved it out there today I got a few kicks but that’s just the rough and tumble of the Conference. I’ll just take it and go on to the next game.”
