Stamford AFC picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory away at Harborough Town on Saturday.
The Daniels scored two second half goals to earn their first pre-season win having lost 3-0 to Histon on Tuesday.
Ryan Robbins opened the scoring on 51 minutes, showing the sharpness his manager David Staff spoke of last week.
The striker ran onto a great cutting pass, jinked past two defenders before slotting the ball under the body of the Harborough goalkeeper.
Jordan Smith hit the Daniels second goal in the 63rd minute when he was first to capitalise on a mistake from the home keeper who came out to meet a cross but fumbled the catch leaving Smith with a tap in from the edge of the box.
Stamford should have scored a third goal but Robbins had a penalty saved by the keeper.
The games come thick and fast ahead of the opening league game with a local derby this week.
First up is a battle of Stamford’s top two sides on Wednesday when the Daniels play away at Blackstones (7.45pm).
