Rutland DR maintained their unbeaten start to the season after drawing 2-2 with Peterborough ICA B.
The Rabbits got off to a strong start with a crunching tackle by Matt Bosworth which sent Striker James Twose on a 40-yard run finishing with a shot which beat the keeper but not the crossbar.
Rabbits continued to apply pressure throughout the first half and Twose was thwarted twice by the keeper. Ben Dickinson also came close.
Shortly before the break, Dickinson made a brilliant pass to Twose who finally took his chance to give the Rabbits the lead.
However Peterborough scored twice early in the second period forcing manager Jonny Woods to make a triple substitution.
James Slack, Matt Perry and George Maxwell joined the action as the Rabbits fought back.
In the final attack of the game Darren Short found George Maxwell whose acrobatic header beat the ICA goalkeeper to make it 2-2.
Rabbits are unbeaten in Division Five of the Chromasport Peterborough League with three wins and one draw .
Captain Ben Cox said: “I take my hat off to the effort the lads put in and in particular to young Maxwell.”
