Bourne teenager George Couzens has been snapped up by Premiership football club Norwich City.
George, 14, of Gladstone Street, who had also had trials at Spurs and Manchester United, will live and study with the Norwich club’s academy.
George’s father, Nigel, said: “It’s a big thing for a 14-year-old to leave home to join a club like this. But it’s what he has always wanted to do.
“He has worked hard for this. I am very proud. He had about six clubs interested in him”
George, who can play in midfield or up front has already found the net four times since his move.
Before joining Norwich the former Bourne Academy pupil had played for a series of sides including the British Schoolboys side.
