DEEPING Rangers go into this evening’s Hinchingbrooke Cup semi-final against Stotfold on the back of a six-match league and cup unbeaten run.
One of the United Counties League’s form sides, Rangers’ last defeat was a cup loss at Holbeach in February and you have to look a further month back to find their last league defeat - a surprise 4-1 reverse at Desborough in January.
On Saturday Rangers came from behind to take a point at Daventry, drawing 3-3.
David Burton-Jones gave Rangers an 11th minute lead but the home side levelled on the quarter hour through an own goal by Steve Julian.
Tom Lorraine’s 33rd minute spot kick had United ahead at the interval and Daventry extended their advantage ten minutes into the second half through Tommy Waldock.
But Josh Moreman’s 66th minute goal reduced the arrears and a great strike by Burton-Jones four minutes later squared the contest.
This evening’s game against Stotfold kicks off at Outgang Road at 7.45pm.
