BOURNE Town face Burton Park Wanderers on Saturday hoping home comforts will end a run of three defeats.
Since picking up four points from their opening two games of the UCL First Division Season, Bourne were beaten by a strong Oadby side at home and then came unstuck twice on the road at Northampton.
The latest reverse was a 1-0 defeat at Northampton Sileby Rangers with Rob Foster's third minute strike enough to settle a tie.
Bourne manager Darren Munton said: "It was a fantastic goal. We could perhaps have done better with the cross but sometimes teams score good goals."
Michael Feeley and Ben Easson both had chances in the first half and the Wakes enjoyed a lot of possession in the second half but the two sides effectively cancelled each other out after the early goal.
"It was a pleasing perfoemance overall but disappointing to have conceded so early," added Munton. "After going down we were up against it but the lads gave a good account of themselves.
"Tom Caldicott is playing very well and Seb Hood had one of his best games. We just beed a little bit of luck."
Saturday's match at the Abbey Lawn kicks off at 3pm.
Bourne: Aaron Bellairs, Alex Brockbank (Jack Bellairs), Kevin Elger, Craig Rook, Dan Smith, Aaron Jesson, Tom Caldicott, Sean O'Donnell (George Holliday), Seb Hood, Ben Easson, Mike Feeley.
