Three members of Stamford School’s First XV squad have finished the season on a high with representative selections.

Winger Tom Roper has been rewarded for his efforts with a call up for the Holland under-18 side for their test match with Germany in Amsterdam. Tom said: “It’s a great opportunity and a really exciting challenge. The game is really on the way up in Europe and it will be good to get home for a weekend.”

Fellow Stamford School First XV team mates, Charlie Dunbar and George Cox, have also been selected to represent the Midlands under-18 divisional side who will take on the North at Loughborough University.

Director of Rugby at Stamford School, David Laventure, said: “These divisional games are essentially a trial for England Schools, Charlie and George have done very well as Year 12 boys to push their way into the squad, they know elite level sport is all about the small margins in performance so we hope everything goes their way.”
