Ketton Reserves booked themselves a place in the Leicestershire and Rutland Saturday Trophy cup final for the first time with a 4-2 win over Loughborough United on Saturday.
After numerous postponements the match was played on the artificial pitch at Bushfield to make sure the game went ahead.
Ketton came out the blocks firing and in the 15th minute went ahead when Andy Gray scored the first of his double.
His opening goal was the pick of the bunch, giving the keeper no chance with his 30 yard rocket.
Loughborough equalised but Ketton had the lead before the break with a goal from Liam Palmer. Ketton keeper Rob Rough had to be at his best to keep Boro at bay in the second half before Gray and Aaron Young scored on the break to give Ketton a 4-1 lead.
Boro notched one back but could not recover.
