League announces opening games

THE Peterborough and District Football League announced the fixtures for the opening weeks of the 2012-13 season, this week.

In the Premier Division, Deeping Rangers Reserves begin with a home tie against Riverside Rovers, Oakham United host Coates Athletic and Uppingham Town face Peterborough Sport Parkway at home on the opening day, August 11.

King’s Cliffe launch their campaign with a trip to Oakham on Tuesday, August 14, and Uppingham travel to play Deeping’s reserves a day later.

In Division One, Stamford Bels begin with an away match against Hampton Sports and Langtoft United and Ryhall United are also on the road. Langtoft face Natherton United Reserves away on the opening day and Ryhall travel to Sawtry.

Ketton don’t start their campaign until August 18, when they take on Holbeach United Reserves away.
