Ryhall United boss James Sheehan was left to rue missed chances after his side drew 1-1 with Maccasports on Saturday.

The Rutlanders had a host of chances before Luke Bonney put the visitors ahead with a first half strike.

Alex Brown ran though to beat the Maccasports keeper in the second half but despite creating more chances Ryhall had to settle for a point.

“We have only lost one in nine,” said the Ryhall boss. “But we have dropped nine or 10 points in games that we should have won.

“We finally took our chance at the fifth time of asking.”

Joe Lippett, Ricky Pozella and Barry Burton all had chances before the visitors scored, and more chances came and went after Ryhall’s leveller.

James Farmborough hit the post and Danny Sheehan hit the post on a frustrating afternoon.

Ryhall play Stamford Bels away tomorrow and Sheehan is keen for his side to make amends for conceding two late goals in the reverse fixture.

“I cannot believe that we drew the last game,” he added. “They scored two late goals and we want to rectify that.”

Ryhall: John Feetham, Robbie Blowers, Mark Allum (James Farmborough), Paul Sheehan, Michael Webb, Will Thomas, (Ant Sheehan), Barry Burton, Danny Sheehen, Ricky Pozella, Alex Brown, Joe Lippett. Sub unused: James Sheehan.
