Bourne Town FC manager Darren Munton, who resigned on Saturday, is back in the job following a meeting last night.
Munton quit following a 3-1 loss to Olney in Division One of the UCL. So far this season the Wakes have played seven in the league and lost six, with one draw.
However, following an emergency committee meeting last night, the club confirmed Munton was in charge of the first team again.
A statement said: “The committee of Bourne Town FC tonight ( Monday ) held an emergency general meeting over Darren’s resignation.
“After discussions it was decided to invite Darren to the meeting to discuss various points that arose from the weekend.
“Certain points were made clear to Darren over procedures to which he apologised to the committee for any problems caused.
“After the conclusion of the talks it was decided that Darren would continue in his role of manager of Bourne Town FC and will be back with his squad for Wednesday night’s visit of local rivals Blackstones FC.”
